Five Fashion Favourites

Kate Spade

1) Designer Lust - Kate Spade

Suddenly, Kate Spade seems to be EVERYWHERE! This kooky New York brand started off as a handbag line, and champion at producing cute and playful accessories to brighten up a dull look.

The Perfect Nude Lip

23 February 2014

My mission of the moment is to discover the perfect nude lip colour. However this is proving to be a challenge as nude shades seem to be particularly temperamental. A nude lip can go one of two ways. It can look classy and polished, or like a slap of cheap concealer..

I Heart Yankee Candles!

22 February 2014

Yankee Candles are a recent discovery of mine and I'm obsessed already! I thought I'd share a mini haul that I did in the Yankee Shop in Cardiff. I picked up a few of their votives and tarts (£1.80 and £1.49 respectively) and despite only having 8-15 hours burn time, I thought it'd be so much better value to buy these mini options instead of going for a much more expensive jar candle just in case I didn't like the scent.

New on Net-a-Porter

20 February 2014

Runway designs may not be the most wearable, but Net-a-Porter is the destination for showcasing accessible and the more easy-to-wear designer pieces. Be one step ahead of the fash-pack and check out my new favourites from the site.

Beauty for those Hangover Days

Fail-safe products are key to looking fresh the morning after the night before. We all know what it's like to have to work when you're feeling like death, but how do you ensure you don't look six feet under? A well-rested appearance always starts with skincare, so I'd choose a brightening eye cream like Benefit It's Potent (£25.50) to fade dark circles and smooth fine lines. Moving on to base, something that looks like great skin is always key. A tinted moisturiser, like the Garnier BB cream (£9.99) will even out a blotchy complexion in a flash, whilst adding hydration to dehydrated skin.

Liz Earle Try-Me Kit

18 February 2014

Retailing at £24, this cute little Liz Earle Try-Me Kit (£24.75) contains: Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser (30ml), Skin Repair Moisturiser for normal skin (15ml), Instant Boost Skin Tonic (50ml) and the Brightening Treatment Mask (15ml). This is along with 2 pure muslin cloths in a mint green, wipe clean pouch. This is my first diverge into Liz Earle skincare, despite reading so many rave reviews for the Hot Cloth Cleanser. I also had my eye on the mask in John Lewis, so I decided to buy this, as it contains both, despite being pricey in my opinion.

bareMinerals Ready to Go Palette Review

11 February 2014

bareMinerals READY To Go Complexion Perfection Palette - R170 - feelunique.com £34.25 Good because its got a foundation, powder, concealer, bronzer, highlighter and brushes. Think the foundation has SPF in it, so could have this instead of the BB cream. All I'd want in the day is a light dusting anyway, over some of the St Tropez face if it's not too sticky.
